In 2002, a group of friends was having drinks in a pub in Utrecht where were mistaken for a jaarclub, a small group within a Dutch sorority. This gave the girls an idea and that is how Luna was born. Today, Luna, a University College Utrecht sorority, is still just that: a group of girls that are close friends, have drinks together, go away for weekends, do volunteer work together, throw parties for campus and always have a great time together, either talking, drinking, laughing or dancing. Luna organizes borrels (drinks) every week for all her Luna members and each Luna girl gets the opportunity to host one of them. These borrels traditionally take place on Tuesday nights, campus party nights. Being a member of Luna is a great way to be active on campus and get close to people you might otherwise not have met.
At the start of every academic year, Luna organizes open borrels where all on campus girls are welcome to visit, have drinks and meet the Luna girls. If you are interested in joining Luna or just feel like meeting a lot of people and having a good time, come to our open borrels on Tuesday the 30th of August in Voltaire, G-side and on Tuesday the 6th of September in K-21 at 22:00.
